Hi! I'm running the Great North Run and have made the decision to raise some money for Breast Cancer Now, and I'm opening up a race time prediction challenge alongside it.

The aim is simple: predict my official chip time (to the nearest second). The person whose guess is closest to my actual finish time will win the prize pot!

Entry is £10 per guess:

• £5 goes directly to Breast Cancer Now
• £5 goes into the winning prize pot

You can enter as many times as you like — more guesses increases your chances and grows the pot.

My target

I'm aiming to go sub 1:50:00 and as close to 1:45:00 on the day. I am currently training, and I am aiming to be in the pace range of 4:55-5:00 for the 21.1km with a Tommy Fury finish to the finish line.

I'll be using my official chip time as the result — not Garmin or Strava.
